◎ 강의 개요(Course Overview)
∙ 한국 불교 내에서 여성이 차지하는 역할과 위상 그리고 그 의미에 대해 문헌, 역사, 그리고 인물을 중심으로 접근한다. 또한 한국불교의 맥락을 이해하기위하여, 인도의 초기불교 경전 속에 나타나는 여성관, 중국 역사 속의 여성의 활동, 그리고 현대 세계 각국의 불교 여성의 현황에 대해서 공부한다.
∙ This course examines the role, status, and significance of women in Korean Buddhism through literature, history, and personalities. In order to understand the context of Korean Buddhism, we will also study the views of women in early Indian Buddhist texts, women's activities in Chinese history, and the current status of Buddhist women around the world.
◎ 학습 목표(Course Objectives)
∙ 여성의 관점으로 불교의 역사와 교리를 새롭게 바라보고자 한다. 불교 설립의 기본 정신인 양성 평등적 가치관을 알아본다. 여성의 삶과 그에 대한기록을 고려한 불교 역사를 알게 됨으로써 불교에 대해 더욱더 풍부하고 완전하게 이해할 수 있다.
∙ To take a fresh look at the history and doctrine of Buddhism through the lens of women. To examine the gender-equal values which are part of the foundational ideas of Buddhism. To gain a richer and more complete understanding of Buddhism by learning about the history of Buddhism in light of women's lives and accounts.

∙ 이 강좌는 한국학, 불교학에 대한 관심이 있는 분들을 위한 강좌로 선수요건 없이 모든 학습자가 수강할 수 있습니다.
∙ This course is designed for individuals interested in Korean Studies and Buddhist Studies, and no prior experience is required.

∙ Assessment Method: Quiz 100%(Discussion and reflection are not included in the completion criteria)
∙ Completion Criteria: Total of more than 60 points
∙ 평가방법: 퀴즈 100%(토론 및 생각해보기는 평가점수에 반영되지 않습니다)
∙ 이수기준: 총점이 60점 이상이고 설문조사를 완료하면 이수증 발급
